Trescal is a French company that has developed into an international leader in the calibration field, offering all industries – aeronautics and defence, energy, pharmaceutical and medical, automotive, etc. – calibration services in an unparalleled number of fields.
Trescal’s teams of technicians and metrological experts provide these services:
- Calibration;
- Tests;
- Organisation of inter-laboratory comparisons (OILC);
- Production of reference materials (PRM).
Based on the client’s requirements, the TRESCAL group is able to provide services that are:

Our History
Trescal’s growth is a French success story. After becoming independent from Air Liquide in 2007, the Company now has more than 3,850 employees worldwide, for more than 50,000 clients, including all the leading names in industry.
The Group’s strategy has been to consolidate the Metrology Market and, through its global network of Laboratories, to offer its clients a single source Provider, namely a single trusted point of contact.
The Group is continuously growing:
- Through establishing Laboratories to meet client needs;
- Or by buying the best Laboratories in Europe (notably in Germany, England, Austria, Belgium, Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Romania, Sweden and Switzerland) in the Americas (Brazil, Canada, the United States and Mexico) and in the Asia-Pacific region (Australia, South Korea, Malaysia and Singapore).
Trescal, who now operates on all continents, has a solid financial position and has a recorded growth of around 15% per year since 2007.
1999
Air Liquide creates a “Calibration” division after the acquisition of Metrology Laboratories in Europe (Metrotech, etc.).
1999 to 2004
Air Liquide makes new acquisitions in Europe (Livingston) and the Trescal brand is created as a name for this special calibration division of Air Liquide.
2007
Trescal becomes independent from Air Liquide.
2011 to 2017
In just a few years, Trescal enters almost every continent on the globe, including North and South America (USA-Canada-Mexico-Brazil), North Africa (Tunisia-Morocco), and expands into the Asia-Pacific region with Singapore and Malaysia. It also reinforces its position in Europe.
2019
Trescal establishes itself in Oceania with its acquisitions in Australia and New Zealand.
2020
Trescal continues its expansion in Asia and starts to establish itself in a new country: South Korea.
The meaning of the Trescal name
